Built for the next decade.
I design and ship the systems that matter: CakePHP 5, PHP 8+, Gentoo Linux, middleware that actually connects, and Bitcoin hardware that works offline.
One engineer. Full stack. From the kernel to the interface. No committees, no diluted decisions — just precise, maintainable software that runs for years.
If you need it built right the first time, we talk. Everything else is noise.

The engineer
Lukas Marks. One person. Full stack from Gentoo Linux and C/C++ up through CakePHP 5, PHP 8+, middleware, Bitcoin hardware, and the interfaces that ship.
Marks Software GmbH is not a team. It is the systems I design, write, deploy, and maintain. No layers, no diluted decisions, no unnecessary overhead that customers end up paying for.
Since 2010 I have built and operated the stack that runs for years: lean processes, precise code, and hardware that works offline when it has to. Partners exist where load or specialization requires them. The architecture, the code, and the responsibility stay with me.
What that means in practice: I own the kernel-level Linux environment, the CakePHP application layer, the data model, the deployment, and the long-term operation. When something needs to change, there is no hand-off. The person who designed it is the person who fixes it.
Bitcoin hardware, offline-first sync, and middleware that actually connects systems are not side projects. They are the same engineering approach applied where reliability matters more than features.
Examples that run in production: imcopex GmbH and Park- und Stadtmöbel shops, BitBuy.Biz or eBusiness.dev platforms and "Yet Another Boring" CMS – Fast Forward (YAB CMS), Bechlem GmbH CrossSellingData (Connect Light) open-source projects. Same person, same stack, systems that stay online.
That is the point. You talk to the person who wrote it.
